MPET donates 6,400 euros to Kinderkankerfonds & Me To You
On Monday 29 January, terminal operator MPET (MSC PSA European Terminal) handed over a cheque for 3,200 euros to ngo Kinderkankerfonds in Ghent. At the end of last year, 3,200 euros was handed over to the Me To You foundation. "I am of course proud that we can support the Children's Cancer Fund and Me To You, good causes that are close to everyone's heart," says CEO of MPET Johan Van Daele. "The choice to support them is based on a deep appreciation for the crucial role the organisations play in the lives of children and adults sadly affected by that terrible disease."
Old scrap iron is collected annually at the MPET terminal, with the proceeds traditionally donated to various charities. "Over the years, we have built lasting relationships with various charities," Van Daele stresses. " We are more than a terminal operator, we are also a company that attaches great importance to our social role.”

In our country, 350 children contract cancer every year. That's 350 families whose lives are irrevocably changed. Through their projects, the Children's Cancer Fund tries to improve the quality of life of the child and his or her family. The Me To You Foundation is committed to leukaemia research and strives to optimise the quality of life for patients.
